Testing 1,2,3
Rvvup offers a test environment for you to test different payment methods and customer scenarios before going live. The test environment simulates orders without creating any real payments or moving any funds allowing you to experiment while you get Rvvup installed.
Ask us for a test environment
If you would like a test environment, please contact us at support@rvvup.com and we'll create you one. We'll ask you for an email to setup as the primary user of the environment. You'll receive an email to confirm the user account and set a password.
Once its been created you'll be able to login at https://dashboard.dev.rvvuptech.com/
You'll also be able to add further users yourself should you need them.
Things to know about a test environment
- Test environments are completely separate from your live environment - they have different users and logins.
- You access them by logging in to https://dashboard.dev.rvvuptech.com/
- The test environment is fully isolated from your live environment.
- A test environment is strictly for connecting to your test site to run simulated transactions, you shouldn't use live payment details within it and you shouldn't connect your live site to it.
- You can also test any branding changes in your test environment before configuring them in your live environment.
Important! Test API Key usage warning
Our test and live environments each have their own unique API key that is used to connect to your store. The test API key should ONLY be used in your test store and the live API key should ONLY be used in your live online store.
⚠️ Only use your Live API key in your live online store.
Using your test API key in your live online store could lead to issues including
orders being marked as paid using simulated payment methods.
How to access your Test environment API Keys
- Log in to the Rvvup Test Dashboard
- Click on Settings in the left menu
- In the API Key section, you’ll see a yellow banner confirming “These are Test API credentials” followed by your Test API key.
- Click the copy button next to the Test API key to copy it to your clipboard to then paste it in your test environment.
