What are Capture Flows?
The “Capture Flow” of a payment defines how the fund transfer instruction step of the payment should be carried out. This fund transfer instruction is defined as the “capture” step in the transaction lifecycle (see the Pay by Card: Transaction Lifecycle article for more information about these transaction steps). This step is typically bundled together with the “authorisation” step for most retail transactions and the new capture flows allow you to change how this occurs.
ℹ️ How to adjust my Capture Flow to Immediately or Later
⚠️ Minimum plugin version to support capture later flows:

🧠 Capture Flow Options
Presently, there are two options for supported payment methods:
Immediately
If you select the “Immediately” capture option, your payments will automatically submit a capture request as soon as they are successfully created, ensuring that you will receive funds as soon as possible.
Most business cases will prefer to have this setting in place, and it is the default setting for all payment methods.
Later
If you select “Later”, your payments will be set to only “authorise” the payment, pending your review and capture these payments as required.
When this capture flow is selected, successful payments will remain in the “Authorised” status until they are either voided, captured, or they expire.
Warning: No funds will be moved from your customer to your bank account unless you manually click the "Capture" button!
