Customisation Guide
⚙️ General configuration
The options listed under the General configuration are PayPal options that will apply to PayPal buttons on both the checkout and product page settings.
Note: These settings aren’t broken down into the respective per-page settings to avoid conflicts with the PayPal SDK.
💰 Funding Sources
Funding Sources is PayPal’s term for supported payment methods, and are represented by their respective PayPal buttons.
Prioritise is a list of PayPal funding sources to offer alongside the standard PayPal button:
You are limited to displaying 4 additional buttons total with the Vertical button layout and just one additional button with the Horizontal button layout.
The prioritisation is a request, and PayPal may have internal factors to favor one over another if more are selected than can be displayed.
Disable allows you to select the PayPal funding sources you would like to disable from displaying on your site.
🛒 Checkout & Product Page Settings
Here you can customise how PayPal looks & functions on your individual product pages or at the final checkout screen by selecting Checkout page or Product page from the header.
Checkout page: settings will alter the display of buttons on the PayPal buttons on the standard checkout screen in your store.
Product page: settings will alter the options on the PayPal buttons displayed on pages for your store’s products. This is sometimes referred to as "Express."
👀 Preview
We provide a simulated preview of what the selected PayPal configurations might look like on your page.
It is worth noting that this view will not display the exact UI of your website, it should give you a good idea of what your page will end up looking like. This should help you audition each option.
Choose county allows you to see what a customer of the selected country would see based on your selected configuration (Selecting Automatic will use your computer's location).
