Multi-factor Authentication (aka MFA) is your new best friend
Think of logging in with MFA in the same way that cash is withdrawn from an ATM. Without the correct combination of the ATM card and your PIN, the money remains inaccessible.
Similarly, Rvvup Dashboard access is denied unless you provide the right password alongside the secondary authentication (a one-time code sent to you via SMS text message or email or through an authenticator app on your mobile phone).
New to Multi-factor Authentication?
You have options for this secondary authentication:
📱 Option #1 SMS
This option has one-time MFA codes delivered to you as SMS text messages on your mobile phone. This method is slightly more convenient as the MFA codes will immediately be generated and texted to you when you log in to the Rvvup Dashboard and not require you to download any additional apps.
📲 Option #2: Authenticator Apps
This option asks you to download an app on your mobile device that allows you to generate & copy authorisation codes. This method is recommended for its high-level of security. Two of the most popular and easy to use apps are:
- Google Authenticator: Download the Google Authenticator from the App Store and follow Google's setup instructions
- Authy: Download the Authy App and follow setup instructions
📧 Option #3: Email
This option allows you to receive an email in your inbox that contains a temporary 6 digit code that you can copy over when you log in.
